Karen Martinez is a first-generation marketing junior from the Houston area.

She is the social media manager and a founding member of LifeSkillsUTD, which strives to teach life skills to students, and the digital media coordinator for Aspiring Creators, a student organization that showcases creative talents.

Karen chose to attend UT Dallas because her older brother is an alumnus. She hopes to work in the entertainment business, specifically in advertising.

Currently, Karen is interning at a political marketing firm. When she is not in class she likes to watch movies and play pool.
