Charidan Matties is a visual and performing arts senior — theatre concentration. Her minor is in business administration.

She is involved in several organizations and holds multiple leadership positions in most of them, including Terry Scholars, Kappa Alpha Theta, UT Dallas Student Ambassadors and Undergraduate Success Scholars.

Throughout her time at UT Dallas, Charidan has embraced opportunities to grow, experience and learn from the people around her. She studied filmmaking abroad in Italy for five weeks and has participated in various leadership academies across the country, during which she refined her skills and shared her experiences with others.

In her free time, Charidan can be found hanging out with friends, watching a good movie or show, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or indulging in her favorite comfort food — Indomie ramen.

Charidan plans to carry the lessons and experiences she’s gained at UT Dallas into her future career. Her time on campus has taught her the value of connection, the importance of saying “yes” to new opportunities and how to strike a balance amidst a busy schedule.
