Jamie’s Day

Jamie Eriksson is a mechanical engineering senior.

In addition to her coursework, Jamie interns at Skyven Technologies, a Dallas-based startup that creates solar technology to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Jamie isn’t the first Comet to work at Skyven. The company was founded in 2013 by alumnus Arun Gupta PhD’12.

When she’s not working or studying, Jamie finds time to play Ultimate Frisbee. She competes with the UTD club sports women’s team, the Monstars, throughout the year. In addition to playing for the team, Jamie trains on her own to prepare for try-outs for the under-24 Ultimate Frisbee national team, which gathers the best college-age players from across the country.
