Roopal Dhar is a doctoral student in the Department of Biological Sciences.

An international student from India, Roopal is part of Dr. Nikki Delk’s lab, where she studies the chronic interleukin-1 inflammation on breast cancer response to extracellular growth factors.

“UTD’s well-designed course structure, excellent research projects and student-centric interests motivated me to join the University,” she said.

Roopal has been awarded the Graduate Research and Cancer Education (GRACE) Fellowship by the UT Dallas Office of Research and Innovation. After completing her PhD, she wants to pursue postdoctoral research.
