Rowan’s Day

Rowan Magennis is an arts, technology, and emerging communication (ATEC) senior.

She is one of nearly 5,500 international students at UTD, coming to campus all the way from South Africa. Rowan’s father toured UTD during his vacation in the United States and loved the campus so much he suggested his daughter look into attending. After Rowan learned about ATEC, she knew she had found her University.

Before she came to UT Dallas, Rowan had been developing her artistic talent through original drawings, illustrations and her experience as a tattoo artist. She continues to expand her depth as an artist through the multitude of offerings at ATEC. Follow Rowan through her day as she works on 3D modeling, learns how to promote her own art business, enjoys coffee on campus and attends iWeek to celebrate international cultures.
