Tyler’s Day

Tyler Quarton is a PhD student in biomedical engineering.

Not new to UT Dallas, Tyler earned his undergraduate degree in physics as a Comet. Now, he conducts research in bioengineering, biomedical engineering and biosystems engineering. As part of his studies, Tyler works in the Bleris Lab where one of his focuses is on synthetic biology and gene therapy.

At UTD, Tyler found his passion through education and met the love of his life, Patty Martinez, while working in a lab.

Follow Tyler through a typical day of writing his dissertation, spending time with his dog and having lunch with his wife.
