Vanlexus Franks is a marketing senior with a minor in entrepreneurship.

In her time at UT Dallas she has been involved with the Freshman Mentor Program as a mentor, the Jindal School of Management Dean’s Council as a committee chair, the Diversity Scholars, First-Generation Students group, the National Association for Black Accountants, the Black Student Alliance, the Professional Program in Sales, and the Professional Program in Marketing.

For Vanlexus, the communities she has been a part of and helped grow are everything. She said it’s what helped her excel academically and personally, leaving her with the ability of knowing how to ask for help when she needs it.
