Venisha’s Day
Venisha Harmon is a historical studies sophomore.
What’s the key to success? For this arts and humanities student, it’s a well-executed plan. She chose UT Dallas for its diversity, reputation for innovation and competitive academics. She decided to become a historical studies student because she believes it is the best major to help her prepare for law school. Every step she makes is another stride on her path to conquer her collegiate career.
Venisha works as a peer advisor (PA) in the residence halls on campus. Outside of classwork and PA work, she is also vice president of the Black Student Alliance, an Undergraduate Success Scholar family leader and a member of Kurlfriends, group for students who want to embrace their natural hair.
