Patty’s Day

Patty Martinez is a PhD student in chemistry.

Originally from Mexico, Patty first came to UT Dallas in 2010 from the University of the Americas Puebla as an undergraduate participating in a summer research program that brought together students from Mexican universities and mentors at UTD. While at UT Dallas, Patty fell in love with nanotechnology and her now-husband, Tyler Quarton. She found both passions working in the Alan G. MacDiarmid NanoTech Institute, a lab dedicated to science and technological discoveries on the nanoscale.

Follow Patty through a typical day of research, spending time with her dog and grabbing coffee with a friend.
